Biography

Dr Hussein B. Peerbaye is an Islamic scholar, educator, researcher, and community leader based in Mauritius. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Hadith at the Islamic University of Madinah, a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance, and a PhD in Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence). He is the Founder and CEO of Eemaan Foundation, an organisation dedicated to Islamic education, community development, guidance, and social welfare. He also serves as an Imam and is actively involved in Islamic teaching, research, counselling, family guidance, and the training of Islamic preachers. With particular interests in Fiqh, Hadith, Islamic finance, contemporary Islamic issues, and community education, Dr Peerbaye seeks to present Islamic teachings in a practical, balanced, and accessible manner while addressing the challenges faced by Muslims in contemporary society.
